MeziLabs ("we", "our", or "us") built the Clap to Find Phone app as a free application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our app.
Clap to Find Phone does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All processing happens entirely on your device.
Our app requires certain device permissions to function. Here is what each permission is used for:
Used to detect clap and whistle sounds in real-time. Audio is processed locally on your device and is never recorded, stored, or sent to any server. The microphone is only active when detection is enabled by you.
Used solely to control the device flashlight/torch for visual alerts when your phone is found. We do not capture any photos or videos.
Used to vibrate your device as part of the alert when a clap or whistle is detected.
Used to display a persistent notification while the detection service is running in the background, as required by Android.
Required by Android to keep the clap/whistle detection running reliably in the background.
All app settings and preferences (such as your selected sound, volume, and sensitivity) are stored locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device.
This app does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not integrate any SDKs that collect user data.
Our app does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.
We do not sell, trade, or share any user data with third parties, because we simply do not collect any data.
Since all data remains on your device and no data is transmitted over the internet, there is no risk of data breach from our side.
